VCW’s Community Safety Network (CSN) will be network of movement organizations building regional safety infrastructure undergirded by experienced movement practitioners. CSN is the evolution of VCW’s Electoral Safety Network, expanding beyond electoral work and grounded in broader and longer-term community safety needs.
The VCW Community Safety Network will offer groups key safety and security resource development, rapid response support, community safety programming, and more!
The Community Safety Network will:
- Host Quarterly Network Meetings: Strengthening regional safety strategy, threat tracking, and collective infrastructure
- Provide Rapid Response Support: Tailored audits, coaching, training, and possible funding for emergent safety needs
- Engage in Collaborative Resource Development: Collaboration on safety tools, resources, and protocols
- Develop Community Safety Programming: Regular public events, webinars, trainings, and events to meet the moment
Who is the Community Safety Network for?
The CSN is designed for groups that are:
- Alumni of VCW Security School or the Electoral Safety Network
- Committed to building regional security infrastructure with at least one other local organization.

- Connected to regional coalitions or partner networks
- Equipped with strong internal infrastructure
- Actively building a membership base or connected to groups with a clear and growing membership.
- Located in priority areas in the continental US: Southeast: Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee; West: California & Arizona; Midwest: Chicago & Detroit; Northeast: NYC area & Boston area; DMV region
