As concerns around the coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to evolve, our hearts go out to those already impacted. We are completely committed to the practice of social distancing to support the health of our communities and ourselves. An update on what this means for our work:
- As a racial justice organization serving communities experiencing multiple forms of structural oppression we know that our partners are especially vulnerable – we strive to model collective care by extending multiple options to postpone, recreate, or cancel upcoming large events or group gatherings.
- We are asking for our partners to communicate shifts as soon as possible, to ensure that our capacity remains available to support needs to postpone gatherings as needed – in light of postponements, we anticipate that our calendar for fall and winter of 2020 will fill up slightly earlier than usual and will do our best to accommodate and prioritize needs to the best of our ability.
- We are moving all in-person meetings to virtual for the indefinite future.
- We will continue to participate in virtual facilitation, coaching, and support and will regularly refer to CDC guidelines as we plan in-person work.
In addition, we recommend the toolkit links below for navigating these challenging times. We will do our best to continue to build and support communities as we navigate unfamiliar spaces together.
In Solidarity,
The Vision Change Win Team
